Having flawless skin is everyone’s dream. To achieve this, people opt for skin treatments. Derma rolling (Micro-needling) is one of those skin treatments. I have also undergone this procedure and received the question from my fellows. Can I Wear Makeup After Derma Roller?
Derma rolling or micro needling is a skin treatment. It is for acne, scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation. The procedure is done by needles of different sizes injected into the skin. These needles create channels in the skin to boost skin rejuvenation and improve the appearance of the skin.
In this article, I will discuss the complete guide to wearing makeup after derma roller, its DOs, and DON’Ts.
Can I wear makeup after using a Dermaroller?
My go-to skin treatment for improving my skin is Derma rolling. For the first time, the makeup application after the procedure was a little bit challenging for me. My skin was all red and swollen after the treatment. I followed my skincare religiously so that my skin could heal completely. After 2 to 3 days, I applied makeup on my face.

How Soon Can I Wear Makeup after Derma Rolling?
Makeup application after the treatment depends on the skin type and the size of the needles used. The more gentle needles are used, the less time it will take the skin to heal, and one can apply the makeup.
After my second derma rolling session, I applied makeup 24 hours after the treatment. I was very gentle with the makeup application this time. I recommend giving your skin some time to settle down before applying makeup.
Tip: I apply mineral makeup made up of organic minerals free from any chemicals, dyes, and fragrances after undergoing a skin treatment so that my skin retains its actual healing.
What Happens if you Put makeup on after Microneedling?
Micro-needling is done to maintain healthy skin. Applying makeup readily after the treatments can lead to skin irritation, bacterial infections, and acne breakouts. Mostly, makeup is made up of synthetic ingredients which may be harmful to our skin when applied after any skin treatment.

Hyaluronic acid provides hydration to the skin.
